San Diego Vacation

Last week we took the kids to San Diego. We had such a great time at the beach and at Sea World. Sleeping was...um...interesting. The first night the boys thought that it was surely time to get up and start bouncing around at three AM. We couldn't get them to settle down again. Then the second night Aiden coughed so hard he threw up everywhere on the bed. I'm not one to gross out over barf, but WHEW...our room was certainly "fresh". Glad he's better now!




Aaron kept trying to get into the Atlantis ride line. He was convinced that he wanted to get on it! The worker at the front of the line finally took him to get measured to see if he was tall enough (we knew he wasn't) and explained to him that he couldn't ride it. Finally he seemed to get it and ran to play in the water instead! Funny kid.

Alex is such a funny kid! We told him he could pick anything he wanted from any gift shop and this is what he wanted the MOST. A ninety-nine cent fan. Hey, we're not going to argue with him. He loved this fan all day long and was so excited about finding it. What a treasure! Aiden picked out a shark shirt, naturally.

Aiden becoming one with the ocean. We know that his future career most likely will have to do with the ocean. He is a little encyclopedia when it comes to sharks. He can name about 15 different sharks just by looking at their picture. And spout off some facts about each to go with it!

Aaron's first amusement park ride!

We had to go into the Shark Encounter exhibit FOUR times to keep Aiden happy. I'm sure it would have been more, but the park was closing! :)

Alex found a little girl friend on the beach and they had so much fun writing their names into the sand and building sand castles.
Aaron loved to pick up handfuls of wet sand and chuck it at people. Such a BOY.
He wasn't too sure about the way the sand felt on his feet at first. He wanted to be carried. But soon, he was rolling around it.
Andy and Alex actually got all the way into the freezing cold ocean and swam!
