This was Alex's first year creating a pinewood derby car because we moved before our ward in AZ did theirs, but got here after this ward had already done theirs. Needless to say, Alex was very excited about it! He designed the shape all by himself and had someone in the ward carve it down for him. Then I helped him paint the design on. He ended up getting second place in his troop! He went to districts, but faired in the middle there. But, oh well, we learned some tricks for next year!
I made cupcakes for the treat that night. The cookies on top are supposed to be tires.
