Halloween 2009

By the time Halloween was all said and done we were all "Halloweened" out! At least I know mommy and daddy were! We attended the city of Goodyear's Halloween party, Aiden had a preschool party, we went to the ward's Trunk or Treat and then we had a family Halloween get together the night of Halloween. Talk about excessive costuming and candy! I never once heard the kids complain about it though! We did have a great time though...and I must say that it was so nice to have all of my children walking this year!

(Ok, so the pictures are in the wrong order...but you get the idea)

Our neighbors gave Aiden this pumpkin. I really wasn't up to carving a little pumpkin so I suggested that he paint it. This is NO JOKE, he sat there for an hour and a half painting this pumpkin! One side is scary and the other is happy. He was so pleased with himself and loved mixing all the colors, especially in the water I gave him to rinse his brush off. Long story short, bring me your un-carved pumpkins! My destructo-kid sat still for an hour and a half! Oh the cleaning that happened that day! The day after this he asked to do it again. :) Mommy happy.

Aiden behind the camera...
Aiden wanted to take some pictures... so I let him! This picture is of me showing him how gooey the pumpkin guts feel!
The finished product. Aiden and I were the only ones who carved it. We were big losers this year and didn't carve our pumpkin until November 3! By that time Alex lost interest, Daddy was at work and Aaron was napping. Aiden and I were adventurous!
Alex had quite the haul at the end of Halloween night. He was so happy about it!

Nana and Lilee
Trick or Treat!
What kind of crazy mother dressed this kid??? What a ghetto costume! (It was all I could get him to wear! I bought him this adorable shark costume and he only wore it to preschool. He wanted to be a vampire like Alex.) By the third vampire go around the boys didn't want much makeup on. They got tired of me dousing them with my eye makeup remover in the tub. Oh the whining that was involved in that. I was NOT going to argue with them about not wearing much makeup.

Aaron refused to wear the cute hat that went with this scarecrow costume that Crystal let me borrow. (thanks Crystal). What a stinker.

The cousins...and Seth
Aiden said the fangs hurt too much to wear. He wanted me to draw them on. Nice.
At the ward Trunk or Treat. Aren't I creative? I just put two drops of fake blood on my neck and hung around my two little vampires all night. :)

Keaton and Aiden at preschool.

The first night of dressing up the boys let me spray their hair black and put on all sorts of face makeup.
