8 months!

First popsicle! I know, I know...we don't follow the baby "rules". He LOVED this popsicle more than any other thing he has ever eaten! He was seriously distraught when it was gone.

Awww, he fell asleep on a family walk. It was COLD that day.

Ashten is starting to pivot around on his belly to reach for toys. He loves to eat paper. Boy does he scream at me when I find him with paper and take it away. He has been saying, "Ma ma ma" and "Da da da da" for a while now, but he seems to know that difference between the two now. We took him to the Ear, Nose and Throat specialist and he needs tubes. We will be getting those put in in a little over a week from now. I really worry about how he's going to do without food or water after midnight until his surgery at seven thirty. He doesn't ever sleep through the night and the only way I can get him back to sleep is to nurse him. The 25-26th night time is going to be difficult for all of us! We are so excited for him to feel better though. He is currently on a high dose of amoxicillan to keep him comfortable until the surgery. But even still he pulls on his ears and acts so uncomfortable. Everyone says that he is going to be so different and so happy after the surgery. I SO look forward to him feeling good and and finally know what it feels like to hear correctly. I do wonder if he isn't crawling yet because maybe his equallibrium is off due to all the fluid in his ears....hmmmmm. we shall see!

He is a little better eater now. He's pretty much over baby food and is only interested in eating what he sees everyone else eating. I am interested to see what he weighs at his nine month well check because he's finally put on some chub!

He sure is a giggly thing! He's always laughing about something! ...usually the crazy things that his brothers are doing. We predict he's going to be a fiesty one because he has already learned to value of a GOOD scream when people bug him or take his toys away. His arms and legs NEVER, ever stop moving and he looks like he wants to just jump off my lap and run with the others. It won't be too long until he does...
