The Beckers Come for a Visit

We were so excited to have the Becker's come visit us! Unfortunately, Hurricane Sandy decided to make her appearance the same week. :/ Unbelievable! But, we made the best of the rainy weather and hunkered down indoors just playing. We were able to still visit the beach (the day before the hurricane hit and be attacked by seagulls), go trick or treating, go to a neighborhood Halloween party, see a movie, see an awesome Halloween laser show, play on an indoor playground at the Virginia Beach Field House, and go to a petting zoo. We stayed busy and LOVED having them here. We are VERY thankful that we didn't get hit directly with the hurricane too!
At the indoor playground...they were the only kids there for most of the time!
Sweet Emme...
I tried and tried to get a good picture of how DARK and scary the sky looked during the hurricane...but the camera just doesn't do it justice. The sky looked something FIERCE!

We had a good time painting individual jack o'lanterns.

Ashten misunderstood what face to paint... HA!

Alex was such a good sport and let Lilee put make up on him.
Aw. Love these two!

Out exploring before the Halloween laser show started.

Broox enjoyed the pumpkin spice muffins I made for breakfast. :)
At the pet store nearby feeding the large coy fish.

Ash also enjoyed the muffins....
At the petting zoo...Aiden and Alex had to go to school.

I was SHOCKED that Ashten wanted to brush the goat. He's usually not one for much adventure, other than rough housing with brothers.
Lilee was our little mother hen. She kept picking up the chickens and loving them.

Feeding the goats with this cool contraption. It was really fun to watch the goats figure out the maze in order to get to the food buckets.
Aiden's painted jack o'lantern
The two buddies who LOVE to create art together. I love listening to them talk about their art projects. It makes my heart smile!
After all was said and done and the hurricane was gone, we visited Seth and Nikki's beach house. Lots of decks ruined and wood everywhere. Also the water level was much higher. But, they had a FANTASTIC view!

We had only one stroller. So we put Emme on Ash's lap for a walk and he stroked her hair the entire time! It was so adorable.
We got Alex and Aiden out of school early to see Wreck It Ralph. After which all the kids concluded that it was the BEST movie they had ever seen!
