Colorado - Day 1

Andy has been DREAMING of going to "THE CABIN" for about a year now. For the last couple of months it was ALL HE COULD TALK ABOUT! We finally made his dreams come true and went up to his Grandmother's cabin in Vallecito, Colorado for a week. He was just plain GIDDY about the whole experience! :) We had the best time with NO phone and NO television. The kids ran around outside and played with all the old games left up there since the 70's. The cabin is such a neat place, with thousands of memories from Andy's childhood. It was so fun for me to hear all his stories about all the adventurous things he and his brother used to do. Justin and Andy were two CRAZY boys up there. Anyway, we had a TON of pictures...hope you enjoy a trip to the cabin!

On one of our many walks Aiden found a horny toad and put it on his shirt. He is such a boy.

The kids had just seen Ice Age and were hunting for the DANDELIONS! It was a huge deal this trip. Many a fight broke out over getting the dandelions! There were lots of them mixed in with these daisies. Happy day!


This is the place Andy's family calls "the Point". This is the view of the lake from the front yard of their cabin.
Andy's Aunt Suzy had us over for dinner. (Thank you!) They have a beautiful cabin like home in Bayfield. Alex barely got off this fun tracktor for two seconds to eat. Then it was right back to peddling away! Aaron enjoyed being in the back until Alex sent them flying down the drive way. Then Aaron was done with that experience. Alex has a need for speed!
Aaron loves all animals, especially horses.

Ah the most hilarious time of the whole trip! So, we're driving along and all of the sudden we hear this insane noise! We look forward to see thousands of sheep covering the road all making a ton of noise. The kids were all asleep, but we woke them anyway as we were stuck on the road not being able to move forward. They got such a kick out of the scene that lay ahead of them.
