Colorado - Day 3
Today we drove to Pagosa Springs. Here they have the most amazing place! It is full of about 15 natural hot springs that they have made into little "hot tubs". Each one has the temperature posted to the side. I think this one was about 105 degrees. Aiden and mommy didn't really enjoy the HEAT. But Alex, Aaron and Daddy did. We had to be careful about how long Aaron was in them. The only down side of this place was that it was so stinky! The smell of sulfur is in the air! P.U.! Just behind us in the bottom picture is the river that runs about 58 degrees. Imagine our screams getting into that after being in the hot tubs! It was actually painful in some areas of the river because it was SO COLD. It was amazing how you could stand in one place of the river and it would be too hot to stay there for long and two feet away it was so cold you couldn't stand there either!

While Alex and Daddy fished and hopped from one HOT tub to the other, Aiden, mommy and Aaron had snacks and played in the MUD by the river. Aiden + Mud = Happiness.
Next we went to a Pagosa Springs Wildlife Zoo. Behind our little cutie is a mountain lion. We just happened to show up at the zoo during feeding time so we got to follow the zookeeper around as she fed all the animals. The bears were the most interesting eaters! They didn't care who was watching, they were going to SCARF! The lions were more skiddish. They would come take the meat and walk off to eat it somewhere else.
The zookeeper had the bear do some tricks for us.
I can't imagine having to carry around all that weight on the top of my head! Poor elk!
